How do I Clear my Myspace Profile of its background image?!?

I editted my profile using the Myspace Profile Editor. I added an image for the background. I am trying to clear the image, but it does NOT save. It says it saved, but it doesn't. What do I do?

Oh and this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ijy_lLE15oY is not working. After she X's out, mine stays normal as well. But once i reload the page, it has the previous image STILLHow do I Clear my Myspace Profile of its background image?!?
Ok First you have to go to profile editor, then at the way bottom of the side bar there will be something that says START OVER Click that and it will turn blank againHow do I Clear my Myspace Profile of its background image?!?
first question i have to ask is: are you actually refreshing or are you just hitting the back button.

Did you add your layout by copying and pasting code into one of your profile sections, or did you add it into the CSS form of the myspace customization menu?

Unless this is a myspace glitch, the only two explanations are that:

1. You're not actually refreshing your profile page, which would keep it from displaying your changes

2. You haven't found all instances of the background code, meaning you have to dig deeper.

Otherwise, you might want to contact myspace. There is another code that will get rid of the background image, but no sense in piling code on top of code to achieve the result you're looking for. Best bet is to figure out the root cause of the problem at hand rather than using a workaround.
id delete it and try again. i have 2 do that a lot. and if i still doesnt work try it again in a few days. or u can go 2 edit profile and just delete everything and save it. chances are you will then have 2 type in those weird letters, then it will save.
It takes a while for it to change wait a while it will change

I downloaded adove photoshop cs3..but i dont know wher to go to clear up the image ..thnxzz =]?

If your image (I am assuming you are running the trial download version and talking about a photo you want to edit) is fuzzy or unclear, there's not a lot you can do to improve it. Image quality depends a lot on how you take the photo. If it's bad to begin with you may not be able to fix it.

However, some of the tools to explore are Sharpen, Smart Sharpen, UnSharp Mask, Remove Noise. It's not instantaneous nor is it magic, you have to learn how to use the program and find the different ways of doing what you want to do.I downloaded adove photoshop cs3..but i dont know wher to go to clear up the image ..thnxzz =]?
To clear, select what you want to clear with Magic Wand or Rectangular Marquee tool, go to menu Edit%26gt; Clear.

If layer selected, just hit the ';trash'; button (delete layer) in Layers palette bottom right side.

  • With a digital camera, how do you take photos so that the main image is clear but the backbround is blury?

I am wanting to take pictures of my son, but I am wanting to have the background blury and his face nice and clear...... Do I have to put special settings on my digital camera? and can I even do that by just using the digital camera or do I have to edit it?With a digital camera, how do you take photos so that the main image is clear but the backbround is blury?
If you have the control of the lens aperture, you should be able to control how much DOF (depth of field) you will have.

    http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c317/w鈥?/a>

Same lens (50 mm f 1.8), camera, Canon 5D. I stood behind my nephew at the same spot.

    Left photo, f 1.8, right photo, f 5.6.

If you use a point and shoot camera, and are not able to do much adjustment, there might be a ';portrait'; mode that may help.

To read more about DOF, please go here:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Depth_of_fi鈥?/a>

    -------------------

    Here we go:

    http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/panaso鈥?/a>

Is this the right model? They did not have FZ2 listing.

You need to set it to ';Aperture Priority mode'; basically you pick the aperture, the camera picks the appropriate shutter speed. Set it to the lowest number possible (I think for this camera would be f 2.8), so the lens's aperture is wide open, so only your son is on focus, and the rest, behind him, is blurry.

The depth of field would be quite shallow--so you need to focus on his eyes, something like this:

http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c317/w鈥?/a>With a digital camera, how do you take photos so that the main image is clear but the backbround is blury?
It's going to be darn hard to ';de-focus'; too much using a digital camera while keeping the main subject in sharp focus. The smaller the sensor, the greater depth of field you will have. Generally speaking, the smaller the camera, the smaller the sensor. Your Panasonic has perhaps the smallest sensor I have ever heard of on a camera. It's only 4陆x3陆 mm. That's tiny. Most of the pictures you take with a digital camera are quite sharp from near to far distances and there is a reason for that which I will explain.

While we speak in terms of the 35 mm equivalency of digital lenses, don't forget that the digital sensors are usually smaller than a full-format 35 mm frame. Most of the more popular point and shoot cameras have the smaller sensors. It's only about 5 mm wide and 4 mm high. Yours is a bit smaller than that, so your problem is compounded. The 12X lens required to cover that angle of view is an ACTUAL 6-70 (approx.) mm zoom lens. At these focal lengths, the background is going to almost always be in pretty sharp focus.

In other words, if you WANT to defocus the background, you are going to have to work pretty hard at it. You would have to zoom to the longer end of the lens and set the aperture open as wide as it will go, if your camera even allows you to control the aperture, and get pretty close to your main subject while having the background a fair distance away.

Put your subjects quite a distance in front of any background that will be visible in your photo. You could use a garden of flowers and stand your subjects 20 yards or so in front of them. Try the portrait mode to shift things towards a larger aperture, zoom the lens out all the way, and move YOURSELF backwards or forwards in order to frame the picture as you would like it. In summary, you want to use a longer telephoto length, position yourself as close as you can to the main subject to compose properly, and place the main subject as far from the background that you wish to have out of focus as you possibly can.

With your camera, at least you have the advantage of a pretty long telephoto lens, so just zoom out and use the rules for positioning the subject and background as I have mentioned and you might make out okay.
There are special settings for this. Some cameras have a flower image and this is normally for close ups, but you can use it to get this effect as well.

    Hope I helped!
The things that control this are

The aperture, you want this as wide open as possible

The distance from the subject, keep your son within 10 feet, closer if possible

The distance of the background, keep the background as far as possible from the subject

The focal lenght of the lens, use a zoom lens
any camera can do it, its harder with point n shoots or cropped sensors,

as pooky said use the portrait mode if you have it, if your using DSLR use a small aperture and full zoom will do it

So that your scanner always takes clear images what maintenance do you need to carry out regularly?

well one thing you can do is take some window cleaning agent and clean the surface that you put the paper on...other than that you shouldnt do anything else. if it still is blurry images check the cables. And if it still doesnt scan right take it to an electronic or computer store and have them check it out because it might be something internal. So that your scanner always takes clear images what maintenance do you need to carry out regularly?
It doesn't really need regular maintenance. But wipe the screen with a cloth with damp water or with a glass cleaner liquid. You can carry that out about every 2 or 3 weeks or before you scan.

    Sept,

What settings are you using %26amp; what subject were you shooting and where to get these results? You haven't given us any meaningful info to troubleshoot.

For instance, were you in Program Mode or Auto. Were you playing around with Manual and just not knowing what settings to use? What was the ISO setting? How close were you to whatever you were shooting and what was the lighting like in that place?

Ok, so now that I have a bit more info, let me take a stab at it. ..

    - Your shots in the Daylight and on Auto were mostly good - so that's positive. If they were blurred in Daylight you were likely too excited and moving the camera when you pressed the shutter release. Keep the camera pressed against your forehead, look through the viewfinder to compose your shots, keep your elbows in close to your body to brace them solid then take a breath and release it (if you're holding your breath you shake more) and press the shutter button.

    - When you get into a shady or storm cloudy situation (darker) you need to use a flash or increase the ISO (light sensitivity) of the camera (to either 200 or 400 - especially if indoors) to prevent low light blur.

    - If you are too close to something and you use the flash it will over-expose (wash out) the subject you're taking shots of.

Photography is like a lot of sports. You have to keep practicing to get good at it. It's actually pretty complex if you want to do it seriously , vs. just clicking snapshots. So keep at it. BTW, you're not dumb (maybe lazy!), so sit down with the User Guide for maybe 30 mins. max at a time, pick a feature to learn, then read what the manual has to say and have your camera handy to practice a few shots with that feature. As tedious as that may sound, in the longer run you'll get some shots that you will be so excited about the results of. Most of all, have fun! Even the pros don't get perfect shots every time (and they use software to fix all the mistakes they make!!!). Take care. Can anybody help me with a canon sx10is? image not clear?

How do I delete the drop-down list of my past searches?

You can clear your Google search history from the Google search box, the Google Toolbar, or your browser. We've included instructions for all three methods below.

CLEARING YOUR GOOGLE SEARCH BOX HISTORY

The search history that displays in the search box on the Google homepage is stored by your browser, not by Google. Instructions appear below for disabling this search history in common browsers. If your browser isn't listed, we suggest consulting its online support center.

    Microsoft Internet Explorer

    1. Go to the ';Tools'; menu.

    2. Select ';Internet Options'; and the ';Content'; tab.

    3. Within the ';Personal information'; area, select ';AutoComplete.';

    4. Click on ';Clear Forms.'; You can also un-check the ';Forms'; box in this window to keep this information from being stored in the future.

    5. Click ';OK'; to exit.

Alternatively, you can delete individual entries from your search history by using the Down arrow key to highlight a previous search, then pressing the Delete key once.

    MSN

If you're using the Microsoft Network (MSN), changes made in Internet Explorer (IE) will take effect in your MSN browser. After making changes in IE, you'll need to sign out of and back into MSN for the changes to take effect.

    Mozilla Firefox

    1. Go to the ';Tools'; menu.

    2. Select ';Options'; %26gt; ';Privacy'; %26gt; ';Saved Form Information.';

    3. Click ';Clear'; and un-check the box.

    4. Click ';OK'; to exit.

    Safari

    1. Go to the ';Safari'; menu and select ';Preferences.';

    2. From the menus that pop up, select ';Autofill.';

    3. Go to ';Other forms'; line and select the ';Edit'; button.

    4. From the list of sites for which AutoFill is currently being applied, select ';Google.com'; %26gt; ';Remove'; %26gt; ';Done.';

    CLEARING YOUR GOOGLE TOOLBAR HISTORY

To clear your search history from the drop-down text box on the Google Toolbar:

    1. Click on the Google logo on the Toolbar to access the drop-down menu.

    2. Select the ';Clear Search History'; option.

    If you'd like to completely disable your Toolbar's search history, please click the ';Options'; button on your Toolbar and un-check the box next to ';Drop-down search history.';

If you have Google Toolbar 4.0 installed, you can clear your Toolbar's search history by starting to enter a search term in your Toolbar's search box. When your drop-down search history appears, simply click the ';Clear History'; link.

Please note that this only clears the search history from the Google Toolbar, which is entirely separate from the search history stored by your browser.

If you've followed these steps and information still appears in your Toolbar search box as you type, please visit http://www.google.com/support/bin/answer鈥?/a> for additional assistance.

    CLEARING YOUR BROWSER HISTORY

Like your Google search box history, the search history that displays in the address bar on the Google homepage is stored by your browser, not by Google. Instructions appear below for clearing and/or disabling your search history in common browsers. If your browser isn't listed, we suggest consulting its online support center.

    Microsoft Internet Explorer

    1. Go to the ';Tools'; menu.

    2. Select ';Internet Options'; and the ';General'; tab.

    3. Click the ';Clear History'; button. To completely disable the history function, set ';Days to keep pages in history'; to zero (';0';).

    4. Click ';OK'; to exit.

    2. Select ';Options'; %26gt; ';Privacy'; %26gt; ';History.';

    3. Click on ';Clear.'; To completely disable the history function, set ';Remember visited pages for the last X days'; to zero (';0';).

    4. Click ';OK'; to exit.

    Safari

    1. Click ';History'; on the top menu.

    2. Click ';Clear History'; at the bottom of the menu.
all I have you say is you are minger sexy!
Click on ';tools';, then ';internet options';.

    Select the ';content'; tab.

    Click ';auto complete';

Last thing, click on ';clear forms';.

Why is my 40'; LCD image not clear?

I just purchased a SONY 40'; 1080P LCD TV which I love. I currently do not have an HD receiver.

When I am watching television, the image seems to artifact a lot. Even if I leave it in it's normal aspect ratio, and especially when I switch it to wide mode.

I understand that an HD receiver will allow me to see HD programming in great detail and clarity, but will non-HD channels always view this way? Is there a setting or connection solution to clean up the image? Why is my 40'; LCD image not clear?
You already have a digital receiver built in, capable of receiving HD signals. So you don't need an additional HD receiver.

Standard Definition (SD) images are what they are: standard. You could try to soften the blockiness by increasing the processing rate, or making the image smaller to reduce the visual artifacts. Why is my 40'; LCD image not clear?
When watching regular signal on an HD tv, it will look worse for wear. Of course, this also depends on your cable hook-up. I run my tv to my satellite with HDMI cable regardless of HD or not. It gets the best out of the picture by up-converting the signal. If you are using regular coax or RCA, you simply are not getting the picture you paid for.
I have the same problem with mine too. You need to have a HD receiver to take advantage of HD quality.
i bought a hd lead the other day for mine and wow what a difference
Without an HD receiver the image will look blurry. There may be a setting on the TV to show 480i images, if so then that's what you should select, also disable wide-screen, that will distort the images as well
I've never had this problem at all. You might want to make sure you didn't hook your non HD componets and such to a HD jack on the tv. that might be causing a problem. Or if there is an HD menu choice it is turned off untill you have an HD tuner hooked up to the tv.
I have an XBR4 (very similar) and I know exactly what your talking about. The only way to really deal with this is by tweaking and adjusting some of your settings. It's not going to go away but it might make it better. These HDTV's are made for HD not for the basic cable feeds of 480i. I watch some of my channels with the HD tuner built in to get by without going to the $70 HD cable package and I don't have dish yet so that's out. Try a few of these tweaks I found on AV Science forum-

You need to clear or disable Auto Complete. This saves all previous searches in your search bar. Here's how to fix the problem:

For Internet Explorer: Click on Tools. Then Internet Options. Click on Content and then Auto Complete. Then click on Clear Forms. This will erase your search history. If you don't want things showing up again in your search history then deselect the Auto Complete options at the top. Be sure to select apply or ok at the bottom.I need to clear search bar %26amp; image search history?
Click Tools then Browser Options then down to history click CLEAR URL'S. then OK.
.Click tools. Click internet options. Click content. Click auto complete. Check web addresses and forms. Click clear forms. That should take care of what I believe you're asking for.

If your talking about over all sharpness, try using the unsharp mask.

If you're looking for a little more color depth in terms of clarity, you can use the fade correction tool or curves to do that.

Sounds like a quality issue. Make sure you're using your highest quality resolution, and plenty of lighting.

There's really no way to fix the blurry photos, believe me, I've tried.

You might think Photoshop's ';sharpen'; would work, but it really doesn't.How do you fix images to look clear if blurry?
    Highest resolution

    good lighting

steady hand (if this is too difficult, use a tripod)

also, in Photoshop (and probably other graphics programs) I know you can choose different methods to ';sharpen'; your images, but depending upon the image itself, that might not produce the clearest image.

    Good Luck!
There are no programas to fix our focusing mistakes, the best thing is shoot again and pay attention to the subject distance.
Gilbert 207 is right. If the photo is fuzzy there's pretty much nothing you can do about it. Good graphics programs (like Photoshop) will help clean up some stuff, but there's a limit to how much de-fuzzing graphics programs can do.
Hi. It depends what the problem is. If they are simply not sharp, You can sharpen them by any software, including Photoshop menu Filter-Sharpen-SmartSharp (CS2) or Unsharp Mask (previous versions). Of course no software will do miracles if the image is BAD!

The former can even do with unsharp images where the unsharpness comes from camera shake during shooting. You have to be familiar with that so trying many times is advised - mainly for not overdoing it, when image is simply degradated. The latter, Unsharp Mask can do well only with unsharpness which comes from bad focus. Also experiment with that. Other software lets You sharpen images too, but there are many and the best way is to look for and read about them on web. Some are free.

Other problem with blurry images can be automatic noise reduction (and applied too much as always automatic things work), and the image is so softened that it loses detail and definition.

Other option is that You may haved the lens dirty, fogged etc.

And if You mean that people or other moving objects are blurred, it means that the image was taken with slow shutter speed and if sb or sth moved, the time was so long that the object is blurred
I'd think you would haft to be in CSI to use that kind of program lol.
You can use an image editing program (like Irfanview) and the ';Sharpen'; feature, but it usually makes the pictures grainy and pixelized, so there's a trade-off.

How to produce bigger and clearer image from a telescope?

based on your physics knowledge, related with light and prismsHow to produce bigger and clearer image from a telescope?
Bigger is usually the opposite of ';clearer'; for ground-based telescopes. The more you boost the magnification, the more you exaggerate defects in the optics and in the atmosphere.

Your question doesn't specify how the knowledge is to be applied. One could get a clearer image at high magnification by blasting the thing into outer space like Hubble.

Staying on Earth, you can get clear image and higher magnification with imaging equipment. Web cams are excellent ways to get more out of a telescope, becuase they take 30 frames a second and you can throw out the 28 pictures that are bad and keep only the two pictures that are good. This gives powerful results on planets such as Jupiter and Saturn.

Most telescopes require optical alignment called COLLIMATION, so one way to get clearer and more useful magnification is by tuning the optics so everything precisely lines up. This is usually done with a set of adjustment screws typically in the rear (on a Newtonian) or up front (on an SCT like the c8).

Telescopes are also prone to thermal interference as they cool. The most powerful single technique is to put fans on the main mirror and break the boundary layer of air directly over the optics. This is done by many owners of amateur telescopes.

If you push magnification too far your telescope starts to ';dim out.'; You spread the image too wide with the eyepiece--the magnification--and you'll get a dark not very useful image. By contrast low magnification always seems very clear and razor sharp, even when the upper atmosphere isn't helping.

But the #1 simple answer is if you want a bigger image swap out the eyepiece for one of shorter focal length. In most scopes swapping a 25mm eyepiece for a 10mm will provide an increase in magnification (bigger) without a huge degradation of clarity.

    Hope that helps,

    GN

How to produce bigger and clearer image from a telescope?
There are two ways to get resolution better than the diffraction limit. Interferometry is one. The idea here is to combine light from telescopes that are some distance from each other. The VLT and the Keck telescopes are large examples of this. The Keck has twin telescopes at 100 meters apart, and can get the effect of a telescope that is 100 meters in diameter. This has also been done with radio with baselines over 1000 miles. Space based optical telscopes with interferometry and long baselines should allow us to image continents on planets orbiting other stars.

The other way to do this is with optical surfaces that have a negative index of refraction. This has not been accomplished in visible light as yet, but has been demonstrated at longer wavelenths of light.

A telescope is limited by the size and quality of its main objective or mirror. That defines how much light it can collect and resolve. However, by using photography you can collect that light over time and perhaps use electronics to resolve detail which is beyond the eye's ability to see.
I have to agree with the first answer %26amp; will add the more money you have at your disposal to spend on instruments, the better resulting images should be achieved. It might also be a benefit to do some trial %26amp; error to try %26amp; find the best results as this usually works. The 4th answer by gn is also very good %26amp; should help you with your problem.

  • How do i make my images clear and crisp while creating my website?

my logo and images appear fuzzy and blur when i upload it. What am i doing wrong? I design it in illustrator first, import it to photoshop, cut it up and upload. How do i make my images clear and crisp while creating my website?
Every time you move an image from one program to another using a different file format you will loose detail Try to use very high resolutions such as 300-600 dpi until the very last moment. When in Photoshop, resize your image to the size you want and make it 72 DPI (This is the Internet standard.) before you save the image, Use Sharpen in the Effects menu to give it more ';sharpness';. Experiment with the Sharpness settings because too much can really screw up a good photo. You will be amazed at the difference. Then save your images in a format that suits them: Photos should be JPG's and solid colour images like comic book illustrations should be GIF's. JPG's are usually smaller than GIF's because they are compressed. Keep the compression to 75% (or 25 percent smaller than the original. Practice with different photos until you get it right. Once you do get it right, you'll probably thank me!

P.S. Always start with larger images and reduce them to the right size at the last minute. Never enlarge an image unless you have no other choice. How do i make my images clear and crisp while creating my website?
Bring it into Photoshop at high resolution, not 72ppi. Photoshop will do the rest with the ';Save for Web'; feature.

Once you have made your slices, in the Save for Web screen, notice that you can set the file format (jpg or gif) and the image quality (or number of colors for gif) for each slice individually. For example, you can set some slices higher to increase clarity, and other slices lower where focus is less crucial.

Most logos work better as gif. Most photos work better as jpg.

Make sure you select the right format for each slice, and - using the Save for Web interface - get the best file size to resolution balance you can before you save the slices.

Here's one tutorial. There are thousands more thru google:

    http://www.devarticles.com/c/a/Photoshop鈥?/a>
select ';save a copy for email or web'; this should save it in a format that will upload nicely.
I suppose it depends on the quality you choose on photoshop. Personally I save it as a Jpeg File and put the file size to maximum. Also, keep the image quality as 10.

By the way which Photoshop do you use?
Also make sure, the images do not get streched when uploaded. If their actual size changes the quality reduces too.

First of all, in the properties, check the file types you would like winamp to use it (click on avi and the others).

hmmm, I'm looking at both my windows xp and vista machine. my windows picture and fax viewer on xp doesn't have any kind of history on it, just the very basic viewer... on vista it's the photo gallery.

So I'm curious what version of P%26amp;F viewer that is. Anyway, you should have an option to not keep the history in preferences for that version. Turn it off and you shouldn't see the history any more. The thumbnails and images will still be stored in your temporary history directories... so if you want to get rid of them, you need to find them and delete them.

If you are at all disatisfied with your computer, as it is so new you really should go back to the retailer from where you bought it. Which is better: Old cameras that produce grainy images or HD cameras that give clear, sharp images?

Why do some people (like photography teachers) prefer the former rather than the latter? Is this the same for video?Which is better: Old cameras that produce grainy images or HD cameras that give clear, sharp images?
Your comparison isn't fair. Grainy results come from fast films (+ ISO400) just as noise comes from digitals at higher ISOs. Use ISO 25-100 films and you'll need to search for grain. Film has grain, but lower ISO films don't show it easily. A film compact is much better than any digital compact past ISO400.

Put some fujichrome Provia 100F inside a film camera, and you'll need a very good lupe for see grain. Plus-X or Pan-F on Microdol won't show grain that easily. And that in 35mm. Medium format has a much much finer grain, and it has better quality then all 35mm and most digitals (except medium format digitals; H3D, PhaseOne; but compare prices!).

Use your ';HD'; digital camera in low light, and see where there's good noise.

Use a good scanner for scanning film. And you got an HD image!

Simply, a good 35mm SLR is much better for teaching photography; it just takes photos and needs full manual control. No Auto modes to cheat with.

It's different media. You won't get film results with a digital, you can play hours and hours with PS but you won't get film look. It's like trying to make that CD to sound like an LP.

There's people using Super 8 cameras, even professionals (motion picture), because they love their look, just as lots like to listen LP's.

Kodak Tri-X souped in Rodinal and pushed to 800 is very nice. Lovely sharp salt and peeper grain. I like medium sized grain in most of the situations I photograph (interiors, portraiture, don't want it for landscape, though).

Sharpness and super hiper definition isn't everything. Grain can be a great addition to a composition. Having a high res. camera won't help you make better photographs. Cartier bresson used TriX (grainy) and he is one of the most recognised photographers. In the mass, having digi cameras able to take great images, most of the people make boring crappy images (not worth the photograph title).

';Old'; cameras, can still kick **** to much of the digital cameras. Film doesn't mean 35mm. Film formats range from 16mm to 20x24'; (the negative measures 20x24';). The film formats are classified in 3 categories: Small format (minox, 16mm and 35mm); Medium format (120 film); and large format (4x5'; to 20x24';).

    A last sentence:

Grain is beautiful, Noise is not.

I love the film media look and feel, I love the old cameras, much better made than most digitals today (100% metal), much tougher and the good ones (such as mine) more reliable. My OM1 doesn't need batteries for shooting. Only for the meter.

How do I make photoshop images have clear backgrounds?

Alright, I use photoshop CS3 and when I open a new canvas or whatever I make sure that it says ';transparent'; background...BUT when I am finished designing my image, and I flatten it and save it and upload it onto the internet--the background is still white!!! How do I make the entire background CLEAR!?!?! Thanks!!!...How do I make photoshop images have clear backgrounds?
GIF and PNG are the only two formats that support transparency.

GIF (Graphics Interchange Format) is limited to an 8-bit palette, or 256 colors. This makes the GIF format suitable for storing graphics with relatively few colors such as simple diagrams, shapes, logos and cartoon style images. The GIF format supports animation and is still widely used to provide image animation effects. It also uses a lossless compression that is more effective when large areas have a single color, and ineffective for detailed images or dithered images.

The PNG (Portable Network Graphics) file format was created as the free, open-source successor to the GIF. The PNG file format supports truecolor (16 million colours) while the GIF supports only 256 colours. The PNG file excels when the image has large, uniformly coloured areas. The lossless PNG format is best suited for editing pictures, and the lossy formats, like JPG, are best for the final distribution of photographic images, because JPG files are smaller than PNG files. Many older browsers currently do not support the PNG file format, however, with Internet Explorer 7, all contemporary web browsers fully support the PNG format. The Adam7-interlacing allows an early preview, even when only a small percentage of the image data has been transmitted.

im pretty sure its impossible to do this, since an image already has a set number of pixels (pixels are tiny colored boxes that make up the image. the more pixels there are, the clearer the image is). u cant just add in pixels to make it clearer. sorry i cant do anything to help :(

Why won't the the <br clear=';all';> tag stop a long bulleted list from wrapping around an image?

Well first of all the clear=all is becoming deprecated. Instead of using a clear=all on a br tag, you might want to put a CSS style of clear: both on the actual ol tag that forms the bulleted list.

I can't say for sure this is the exact equivalent since I can't see the page, but the clear: both; CSS attribute is the proper and accepted equivalent of the clear=all method of old.

    Hope that helps. :)

  • I need a Photo enhancer i can clear zoomed images?

I need something that i can zoom in on to clear up a image. It does exist and its not only available to the fbi. im pretty sure i saw it one time on like attack of the show or something and i believe it was free, the problem is i don't remember the name.I need a Photo enhancer i can clear zoomed images?
The problem is that unless the photo is of extremely high definition, the data does not exist to determine what a closeup would look like. Programs that do this nevertheless can end up producing photos with details that are unreliable.

The FBI has access to high definition satellite photos and such.

Why is vision clearest where the image falls on the fovea centralis?

And why is vision in dim light better out of the corners of the eyes than when the eyes look directly at an object? Why is vision clearest where the image falls on the fovea centralis?
Vision is most distinct in the daytime in the fovea centralis because we have the most cones there. Cones are responsible for our amazing color vision. As we get further away from the center the cones become less dense and the rods become more dense. Rods are what give us night time vision.

This layout is what gives humans some of the best vision on the planet. One interesting aspect of this blend of eyesight is that on a dark starry night, if we look at a star, that star will disappear until we look slightly away from it, then it will reappear. Most animals only have the ability to see either in the day or the night, but not both. Why is vision clearest where the image falls on the fovea centralis?

How do I get the background of my image to show up clear/transparent (when viewed on website) using Photo CS2?

The image must be a gif to show transparencyHow do I get the background of my image to show up clear/transparent (when viewed on website) using Photo CS2?
The first step is making sure the image you are saving does not cover up the base/transparent layer. If the image has a non-transparent background, there are ways to select and delete this background. Photoshop has several marquee tools that allow you to select pieces of an image and delete them. You can delete the background pieces of an image using those tools, until the transparent layer is exposed beneath. Make sure you also delete any layers beneath the image which may be covering up the base/transparent layer.

The next step is saving in a file type which supports transpareny. There are many file types which support transparency, but there are only two commonly used on the web: .gif, .png.

The .gif type has been around much longer, but is limited because it sets each pixel to one of 256 colors, one color of which is flagged as transparent. This eliminates the possibility for semi-transparent pixels, which are required in anti-aliasing. This is why in the past most web designers did not use transparency on complicated graphics, but rather blended the image into whatever background would be finally applied and pieced it together.

The .png file type was developed to allow for full 32-bit color (this option can be selected), and greater transparency support (inherent). The .png files use ';transparency-masking'; where a greyscale version of the image is saved along with it, with which web-browsers generate a blended version. In other words, each pixel is given a color value (like all formats) and additionally a transparency value (unlike .gif, .jpg) which is between zero and 255. The lower the number, the more opaque, the higher the number, the more transparent. This transparency-masking technique allows smooth anti-aliasing, and eliminates the need to manually pre-blend images into their background. These images are now supported by almost all web-browsers commonly used. The downside is they have a much larger file size, so users with a slow internet connection may wait a significant period of time for the image to finish downloading. How do I get the background of my image to show up clear/transparent (when viewed on website) using Photo CS2?
There are many different ways to ';mask'; the background ';around'; the image, but you'll need to first mask off the actual image. Then one way (of many ways) to get the image separated from your selection is to right mouseclick on the marque'd image, cut and paste into a new layer.

Then, you'll hide the previous layer (with the background) turn off the eye, and Save for Web as a transparent .gif.

    Done.

Most photo shops programs including Coreldraw,Kodak easy share ,etc...Even draw programs that come standard with your COMPUTER %26amp; clarity programs that come with your camera will do the trick! How do you make your images clear and fresh?

i see peoples pics on the internet throug myspace, bebo and theyre edited very effectively, i was wondering how do you do it i mean making your skin clear, tanned and if you hv bling on, wat do yu do to make spark? do you do it on a prgram or somthin? How do you make your images clear and fresh?
I am sure you will be surprised to know that ';clear and fresh'; is all done in the camera.

    * shoot at the cameras highest resolution

    * expose the image perfectly

    * shoot at a high enough shutter speed so you do not get blur caused by camera movement.

    * use natural lighting to its best effect.

Attempting to ';fix'; problems caused by poor camera technique is more frustrating than it is successful in most cases. How do you make your images clear and fresh?
They are probably using software programs like Photoshop, Photoshop Elements or Adobe Lightroom (possibly others...). They allow you to crop and adjust color, brightness, tones/shadows, luminosity, and do spot touch-ups (using cloning tools) to eliminate any defects captured in pics. Some of these programs are easier to use than others. The full Photoshop is very complex. Elements has most of the key features non-professionals would need to use.

There are free programs too - Picasa is one. But mostly they only allow limited and very basic editing.

Most of the better software editing programs also include artistic ';effects'; features in which you can make a pic look like a cartoon, or painting, or pen %26amp; ink drawing, or old-time sepia print, etc.
If I understand your shorthand and bad English I think what you are asking is how to take a decent photograph!

Easy, learn about your camera, exposure, focusing and all those other boring technical things which go to make a good ';clear and fresh'; photograph.

If you don't get them right then no amount of editing will help.

Your best bet, especially if your deploying your images via the Internet, is to export your images into a PNG format and ensure that Alpha Channels are enabled and persevered on export. How to Make Clear images when zoomed using 8 MP? ?

My camera is 8 MP, Canon 350 D Rebel, and I need to make it so that it can look as good when zoomed as an image produced by 20 MP camera (if probable and apart from repro). Someone said there are 3 ways to do it. Can somebody tell me how? (in details if possible) Thanks btw.How to Make Clear images when zoomed using 8 MP? ?
Your camera is capable of taking very clear and detailed images if you know what you are doing and use good quality lenses. Technically speaking the image quality from your camera will never match the quality of the 21mp Canon 1DS MKIII but if you use a very good lens and low ISO you would be hard pressed to tell the difference in a normal size print.

Getting professional quality photos has a lot more to do with your skills than it does the camera you use.

The best advice I can give you is to practice and learn everything there is to know about your camera. Always use the lowest ISO you can get away with and use the best lenses you can afford. Nearly all of Canon's lenses will deliver excellent results. The same can not be said for some cheap third party lenses.

If not, is there better (free) image editing tool that would allow that?In Microsoft Paint is there a way to make an image's background clear....?
No, MSPaint doesn't do transparent backgrounds.

The Gimp http://www.gimp.org/ is widely respected as _the open source photoshop_ and gives you many additional features, especially selection tools. It's also multi-platform, which is an advantage if you ever plan on using linux or mac.

Paint.net is another one, but it requires the .net runtime and can only run on windows (though you could probably get it setup with wine in linux). In Microsoft Paint is there a way to make an image's background clear....?
Might be, but I think you should look into Paint.Net

MS Paint allows you to save as a GIF file (which supports the transparent background - clear - that you probably want) but I don't see a way to set this.

In Paint.NET you can create layers, modify your image to chose what color to make transparent. Then save the project - then save to a PNG or GIF file... which creates the image with the transparency.

Paint.NET is freeware; it requires the .NET framework installed.

Does Lens Image Stabilization really work? My pic not clear at 1/30 Second, but is clear at 1/60.?

I have CanonA720 IS camera, did tests at the shortest focal length outdoors in the shade. I am not the world's steadiest person! I'm using the 'continuous' option for image stabilization. When IS turned off, I don't see much of a difference in the LCD screen.Does Lens Image Stabilization really work? My pic not clear at 1/30 Second, but is clear at 1/60.?
You can't judge sharpness on the tiny LCD screen. You need to get to a full-size monitor or make some prints.

But, the short answer is that yes, optical image stabilization really does work, but it's not a miracle cure if you're really shaky!

It also works better at the longer focal lengths, where shake is magnified; it's has less apparent effect at the wider (shortest) focal length.Does Lens Image Stabilization really work? My pic not clear at 1/30 Second, but is clear at 1/60.?
Sorry buddy...I was going to ask about your shutter speed, but this is point and shoot, so I dont know. Sorry.
This is just for you to ';see'; the difference with image stabilization on and off. Place a newspaper on a wall outside in the shade taping all four corners. Zoom the lens of your camera out all the way to its most telephoto position and stand about six feet away from the newspaper. Use the same area of the newspaper for each of these shots. Make one image with image stabilization on and the other off. Do NOT make your comparisons using the small LCD screen -- you will NOT see the difference -- place both images on your computer screen or make a print of both. Make sure the newspaper is in the shade so that the camera must pick a relatively slow shutter speed, and handhold the camera -- NOT on a tripod. :鈥?
I use cameras that have sensor based image stabilization, they work very well.

That being said, image stabilization is not a miracle worker, you still need to hold the camera as still as possible. Try holding your breath, keeping your elbows tucked in to your body and leaning against something solid. That should take care of your problem.

  • When you take an image in low light, may some people interpret it as ';not clear'; or ';blurry';?

maybe they just don't like the real lighting conditions for an image...maybe the image had lots of noise since it was taken at a high ISO. maybe they're used to clarity of an image when a flash goes off. what do you think? thanks. When you take an image in low light, may some people interpret it as ';not clear'; or ';blurry';?
Facts of life. Higher ISO means a more grainy look. Less light means more movement is being photographed as the shutter will stay open longer.

Indeed both 'effects' may be seen as blurry but it is a clear winner when competing with all over white flash atmosphere killer. When you take an image in low light, may some people interpret it as ';not clear'; or ';blurry';?
In some circumstances, I like superb clarity and sharpness. Sharpness is not everything, however.

In many instances, I much prefer the IMperfect light and the resultant graininess, even a slight degree of blur.

In some circumstances, this is what creates extra ambience.

Example #1 is 1/30th handheld in what I thought was good light, coming through the kitchen window. Even at that slow shutter speed, reasonable sharpness and that is really what was needed for this.

    http://www.eyefetch.com/image.aspx?ID=63鈥?/a>

Example #2 was in poor light and the ISO was raised. Still 1/30th sec but the noise is so much more apparent.

    http://www.eyefetch.com/image.aspx?ID=33鈥?/a>

The question is ... does it matter?

If a viewer cannot see past a need for technical excellence

and grasp the emotion presented, I do feel sorry for them.

Agreed that technical excellence is DEMANDED in many instances but, look at this one and tell me that you want better light and better clarity?

    http://www.eyefetch.com/image.aspx?ID=59鈥?/a>

    Why would one?

Is it 'not clear' or 'blurry'? So what. The end result is exactly what I want.
I have a photo of my grandson taken indoors. I absentmindedly pushed the flash window down, so it was taken in indoor lighting. The result is grainy but is more interesting and arty than the usual photo taken with flash.
The main problems relating to blurred images caused by low light are camera shake and poor focusing.

The focusing systems can struggle to pin point the area of focus desired by the photographer in low lighting and lower shutter speeds make burring caused by inadvertent hand movement more likely.

This may be mistaken for noise from time to time but the clarity issues are usually caused by the above technical problems.

The solutions are to focus manually; or to be more careful about getting the point of focus right; to choose higher shutter speeds (possibly requiring higher ISO settings) or to take more care not to move the camera while shooting; or to remove noise that detracts from the image by post processing filters such as Noise Ninja.
Low light could make an image blurry, unless you have light on the right plces, like the thing you are actually taking the picture of

Notice the difference? The back carding comes up all blurry while the bubble is coming up clear because it is the only part of the package that is physically touching the screen.

So, any ideas on how to solve this problem? Help! What Type Of Image Scanner Can I Use To Capture A Clear Image Of A Carded Figure?
you don't use a scanner to do that kind of job.

even your web cam can make the result you wanted.

above is right, a digital camera will do best

btw, have you tried scanning your face, i did

try it and see the surprise. lolWhat Type Of Image Scanner Can I Use To Capture A Clear Image Of A Carded Figure?

What software canni use to make white backgrounds of images clear?

thats free. What software canni use to make white backgrounds of images clear?
    Hi

Corel, Photoshop etc... all do this. What you need to do is open a new blank project but choose, no background. Now copy your images and text on it or whatever.

The background will remain transparent. That's it.What software canni use to make white backgrounds of images clear?
I recommend using Adobe Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. Photoshop is pretty much the industry standard software anymore but it can be expensive.

Save a copy of your file as a layered .tif, .gif or .bmp file format with the background set as transparent.
Some free options are paint.NET, and Gimp.

The above posters had good info, but to add to that:

You can select a portion of an image (by using the square select, magic wand, etc). Then, when you press the delete key, it will delete the selection and have the transparency ';checkerboard'; pattern underneath.

Make sure to save it in a format that supports transparency, like PNG.

Internet Explorer won't clear image cache on a couple of pages?

While on Yahoo, in the stock market section, there are a couple of web pages with Dollar exchange rate graphs that are supposed to be updated every time you refresh the page. My IE won't refresh the graph image no matter if I push refresh or Shift refresh...the only way to get a new image is to clear the entire IE cache. Is there any other trick I can use to get IE to give me a new image every time I go to this page?Internet Explorer won't clear image cache on a couple of pages?
You may go to IE settings and search for the tab or option Temporary Internet files, and select this option ';Everytime I visit this webpage'; instead of ';Automatically';, This should work to refresh all imagesInternet Explorer won't clear image cache on a couple of pages?
This was not the solution I was looking for. I already knew this.

I had taken a pic from my mobile (2MP Cam) but the image is not clear. what can I do?

I dont know how to view it on This site so try to help meI had taken a pic from my mobile (2MP Cam) but the image is not clear. what can I do?
Mobile phone's built in camera does not normally take clear photos. You would have to use at least a point and shoot digital camera, or a dSLR, which has a larger sensor.I had taken a pic from my mobile (2MP Cam) but the image is not clear. what can I do?
Depending on what you mean by not ';clear'; you can try sharpening it in photoshop or other image editing software. If its camera shake movement there isn't alot you can do for that. You should be able to get decent pictures from a 2MP camera phone, but you should try and keep it as steady as possible and make sure you wait a few seconds after composing the shot to take the picture.
Download 'Irfan View' software (its free, do a Google search).

With that software, you can adjust

    1) Contrast

    2) Brightness

    3) Color Balance

    4) Sharpness

Doing these things should help you improve the photo that you have.

In future, when using your camera, make sure that the settings are on High Quality / Fine.

Finally, make sure the lens is clean and that you have enough light on your subject.

These simple tips should give you much better images.
Mobile is a phone not camera, there is option to shoot photos but u

can't shoot quality pictures. U can make some changes in photo. Go to any Photoshop near u. If u want to shoot good pictures from mobile

always shoot in daylight/outdoor not indoor. U can shoot some good photos
You will never get a clear photo from a cell phone. The only phones that take half way decent pictures (half way is pushing it) are Blackberries and the iPhone, and even those aren't that great either, but the pictures are clearer than regular cells.
There really isn't anything you can do.

  • How do I get clear images in standard def on my new HDTV??

We got a 42'; high definition flatscreen a couple months ago %26amp; now we have high def cable with it... the standard definition channels look very blurry though! Can I adjust the TV so it looks better? How do I get clear images in standard def on my new HDTV??
    No.

You are looking at video that was the limit of technology around 1948, but showing it on a high-resolution display.

That video was designed to fill a nine-inch screen and you are magnifying it to fill a 42 inch screen.

It's like magnifying a postage stamp - you see the flaws/grain/rough texture/smeared colors. There is nothing you can really do to make it look better.

Just watch the HD channels or upgrade to get your favorites in HD. If they are not available - write to the channel and tell them you wont watch their commercials until they offer their stuff in HD.

Only with this type of pressure will they upgrade. How do I get clear images in standard def on my new HDTV??
There are few options at this point in time. You can definitely see what options your cable/satellite company offers for HD programming.

Other options that might help include replacing the ends of your cable wire with a better quality connector, you can get them at some place like Radio Shack. Sometimes even the actual cable wire from your cable company needs an upgrade, especially if the wiring is more than 5 years old. You can adjust the screen size, which does not help much. The final possibility is that depending on the settings for your tv there is a power consumption option. If it is set to conserve power then it may reduce your picture quality.

The contrast ratio is the biggest thing that figures what is best. If it is less than 20,000 : 1 then the quality is just going to be deascont. A few of the previous ideas might help though.

    I hope this helps some.
