I heard samsung is the best. what do you think? if you have time I would like to kwo what you think about the best priced tv too and where to buy it. thank you soooooooo much for any help you can give me! you are awesome!Which is the best tv for crystal clear image?
You do know that you have to have a source of HDTV images before a HDTV will really shine?

The best HDTV image available is from a Pioneer Kuro Plasma TV. However Pioneer has stopped production so there may not be many available while Pioneer develops cheaper-to-produce LCD version of the Kuro.

Visio - is crap. Cheap crap, but crap. We get waves of complaints here every few months as quality control is variable.

Sony XBR8 LCD televisions have been reviewed as being the best in the LCD world, followed by Samsung being a close second. Both of these are well made, reliable brands.

In general Plasma gives you a better picture than LCD because LCD has 2 inherent problems:

- An LCD cannot give you real black but only 'grey' and this lack of contrast reduces picture quality. They have 'tricks' to improve the black levels so they approach Plasma, but its a catch-up situation.

- Motion Blur : LCD's have a problem with fast-moving objects or complex images. The higher end sets have ';120 hz refresh'; where they draw the screen twice as often to make the problem less noticeable, but it's still there.

Note: I'm not against LCD as my next TV will probably be a lighter, cheaper to run LCD. But you did say you wanted the best image and Plasmas dont have image issues that LCD's have.

IMPORTANT:

Once you get an HDTV and a source of HD signal (and perhaps a BluRay player) you need to have the TV calibrated to really get the best picture. A cheap way is to buy a calibration disk or you can pay an ';ISF Calibrator'; to come out and calibrate things.Which is the best tv for crystal clear image?
no TV will give you crystal clear flawless picture, I mean LCD will give great high def picture and colours but will suffer from poor response time and refresh rate , especially visio meaning blurring durring fast movement. A plasma made by respectable brands like panasonic, samsung will give you great high def picture , better colours and a better refresh rate and response time than any LCD, but always get respectable brands. Also for the best images a Blue ray player will give best images out of anything today, uncompressed 1080p is the best thing.
If you want one that long lasting LCD is the way to go and Samsung is the top brand for LCD about picture quality

or if you can afford Samsung LED hdtv would be good for you.It is the lastest technology that come with mega contrast that give you great picture, very thin for only 1.2'; and 40% less power consumption than conventional hdtv.
